I bought this because I wanted the LATCH system. There are only two other brands available with LATCH. While they both looked like great options, I was not wanting to shell out the money for them. This one came on the market the very day I was needing to place my order. It's less expensive because the LATCH system is attached to fabric pieces, meaning that they can flop around when not installed. The other two brands have rigid LATCH systems, meaning they are steel poles that can't move around when not installed. Either way, you still get the greatness of LATCH.
This was very easy to assemble -- just snap the arms into place and put it in your vehicle. My son is just under 4 feet tall, and weighs about 47 pounds, and he is 5 years old. He fits well into this. We are so happy with this purchase...highly recommend.

I get annoyed with reviews that don't tell me what I need to know, so I will attempt to cover details that I find important!
We bought this booster for our 8.5 yr old granddaughter. She is approx 50 inches tall, and weighs 48-50 lbs. Our car is a 2004 Toyota Camry 4-dr sedan. My husband says the latch installation was very easy.
We wanted to position her in the center of the back seat for safety purposes. But these details should apply just fine to the outer seats as well. The latch system, for me, is a must! While it isn't as tightly secure as a regular carseat for smaller/younger children, it fits solidly, with just a little movement. It won't fly around the car when not in use, and provides more security in the event of an accident. The color (Sailor) is a dark charcoal, and what I would call a "dusty" turquoise.
My granddaughter says it is comfortable, and easy for her to buckle herself in. What I like a LOT is the seatbelt guide strap, which I don't think anyone has mentioned, and is not in the video, or product description! And, for me, this is an important feature! I was concerned that, with the center seat positioning, the shoulder part of the seatbelt would cut her across the neck. But, with the seatbelt guide strap (included), that is not an issue at all, and is easily adjustable to the most comfortable position for your child. The seat padding isn't very thick, although I'm not sure ANY brand of booster seat would be any more plush. I imagine, for longer trips, you could always tuck a towel underneath? The cup holder is fixed. The arm rests are fixed, and are not padded. And my granddaughter really likes the storage drawer, which pulls in and out.

This seat is exactly what I was looking for. My son is 8, but he is on the small side and still needs a booster seat in order for the seat belt to sit properly. I wanted a booster with the latch system, but I couldn't find one in the stores. I ordered this and got it in less than a week using the free shipping. This seat with the latch system was very easy to put in the car; the tightening straps in the front of the seat are a great idea. It was so easy to put together and install, and the booster doesn't slide all over the back seat when my son is not in the car. I am completely satisfied with my purchase; everything about this booster has been great. From price to shipping to installation to using it every day, I have nothing but good things to say about this product.
