Ok, so.. this thing is stupid. It's a block of foam. A bit sad that its even necessary, and that it's not something that is included with the car seat.
But I guess not everyone would make use of it if they did include it. So that is one more thing to drive the price of the overall seat up, perhaps unnecessarily for some.
And since you want to make sure your kiddo gets the best you're not going to just jam a phonebook under there instead. I mean, it's not like they unnecessarily jacked the price up. It's only $10!
So I'm pretty sure this thing deserves five stars because it gave us a good 6-7 additional inches of room for the front passenger's seat to slide back. Now someone taller than 4'8" can comfortably sit in the front.
Yes, you have convinced me. Buy this thing already if you have any doubt on whether you might need it or suffer the additional days with no use of your front passenger seat while it's being shipped to you. Or worse, if its on backorder, might as well just go buy yourself a new car.

I was so happy when I finally received the angle adjuster, as it had been backordered for months. It was an easy install and created the necessary space for my husband and I (both over 6') to sit and recline comfortably. However, in the short 3 months we've had it, the foam has gradually compressed and we are almost back to the recline we started at. Though we only spent $10, I would expect it to last longer than 3 months. I love the extended RF that the radian offers, but for the age/weight of the kids it should fit, it seems really complicated to keep it upright.

Funny that the previous reviewer bought this for her VW. My son is 2, but happy rearfacing and I hope to keep him that way for awhile. We were trying to get a newly purchased Radian to fit rearfacing center in our 2009 Volkswagen Sport Wagen and it was impossible until we got the angle adjuster. With this, it provides ample room and allows my 6'2" DH to drive comfortably. It also provides some protection for the base of the carseat on our leather seats.
