I'm really glad I stumbled across these car sun shades as they are the perfect size for my SUV truck. Before I bought the X-Shade Car Sunshade I was using the "Safety First" car sunshades that you pull down and retract by pressing the buttons on each side of the retractable bar which seems to do a pretty good job, but this Sun Shade is way better for the following reasons:
1. It covers more window space (20% more)
2. It is black on both sides (the Safety 1st was white on one side (the side facing traffic) and it didn't look good behind my tinted windows)
3. It has one small suction cup in the middle of the shade. So it is easy to adhere to the glass and doesn't cause an eye-sore (the Safety First had three suction cups)
4. It is lightweight (because it has no contraptions like a retractable bar to pull up the shade)
5. Great little suction cup really adheres well and doesn't lose its suction
In a nutshell if you are looking for a car window shade that blends well with your tinted glass this is perfect. I like these sunshades because not only do they do the job but they are big and stylish. Most other sunshades cover half your window leaving too much sun in (especially if you have child seats in the back). Also, there is two (2) a pack which is great for left and side window. Recommend.

I live in a hot summer climate, and I'm ALL about trying to stay cooler in the summer. And this definitely includes doing what I can do to keep my car cooler. My car is black with a black interior. Yep ... I bought it for the type of car it was, and definitely NOT for the heat-absorbing color ...
I keep a thermometer in my car, and have observed that by using one of those inexpensive accordion-folding reflective windshield screens, I can help keep the inside of my car as much as 30 degrees cooler in the summer. Totally well worth the trouble, as far as I'm concerned.
So, I thought I'd try the X-Shade Sun Shade, as well.
Of note, this item includes TWO small (side window sized, not windshield sized) sun shades.
The shades are 17 inches wide ... and about 14 1/2 inched tall, with black nylon (?) mesh material inside of a "light duty" spring wire frame. The mesh is black in color, and seems like "light" material which might snag easily ... so I'm careful with what comes into contact with my sun shades. I don't really know for sure if they would snag easily or not, but I suspect that they might ... so I'm careful.
These shades have a very simple black suction cup that is easily installed into the middle of the sun shade, for attaching onto a window. I was initially fairly sure that the suction cup would be too "hard" to stick properly onto the windows ... nope, it sticks just fine, and quite easily. It is also easily removed.
I have tried driving in the daytime with the shades suction-cupped onto my driver's side and passenger's side windows ... I can see fine out of the shades, but I still prefer to drive withOUT the shades in the windows. I would certainly not drive at night with the shades installed.
My car is a two-seater with only two side windows, but I can definitely see that passengers in the back seat of a four-door car would appreciate some relief from the sun baking through their windows on a trip.
The frame of these shades is made of light-duty spring steel, and they really do "flip and fold" neatly into a small package for easy storing. There were no instructions for "flipping and folding" these shades, which might have been helpful. But, at least for me, the important part is that they "open" up easily, "fold" up easily, stick "on" and pull "off" of the windows very easily. I know that if it weren't easy, I wouldn't use them ... it's definitely easy, and I definitely use them.
So EVERY time I leave my car parked in the summer, I put my accordion reflective windshield screen in the windshield ... and the these two side window screens. My car is definitely cooler when I get back to it.

these are pretty indispensable all year long but especially during these hot summer months. when you're driving in crazy traffic jams during long commutes with the sun burning the left side of your face, these are a must have! they stick on easily and stay put without blocking your view. they also fold up in a second and i tuck it into the seat pockets. great lil product for a great price.
