I purchased this for my toddler, who has sometimes has accidents in the car. I looked at this product and the piddle pad. I got this one because reviewers on the piddle pad complained that the pad doesn't stay in place and this pad seemed to fit more securely (velcro to attach around belt straps and seat belt buckle slot). This pad doesn't stay in place very well and gets in the way of buckling since it bunches up around the buckle so you can't get to it. My son had an accident and some of it still leaked onto the car seat. I still use it as a safeguard, but I'm in the market for something better.
I think that it's ok for use with an infant who doesn't get in and out of car seat, but toddlers climbing in and out move pad around too much for easy use.

I have tried many different kinds of car seat protectors, or "piddle pads," and this one definitely takes the cake. I could tell it was of a higher quality standard when I first removed it from it's box. And after using it one day I can say my little one put it to the test and it does its job very well. It actually HOLDS the mess, it doesn't spill around the edges the way other brands/types do. Great product and a great value!

I ordered one for my toddler, who kept having accidents in the car, and one for my infant, just in case. Overall this pad has performed well for both, but at least twice it didn't save my toddler's seat from her accident. It does move around when she climbs in and out of the seat, but I can't imagine an easy-to-remove design that wouldn't move around. For me, I'd rather spend an extra 5 seconds pulling the pad and buckle out from under her than an extra 20 minutes taking apart the carseat to wash it after an accident.
